45 Old Items from Past Decades That Have Helped Shape Our Society

Celebrities have made public service announcements for decades, even if they’re not human. The famous C-3PO and R2-D2 were recruited to encourage immunization against measles, whopping cough, and polio. This vintage ad from 1977 shows how the Star Wars droids spread the message to the “parents of Earth.” 

This ad encourages parents to immunize their kids and call their doctors for assistance. We love that they signed this ad off with “and may the force be with you.” It’s very cute and whimsical.
