Wedding Guests Share Awkward Moments That Made Them Say, “They Aren’t Going to Last”

This storyteller attended a high-profile wedding one time, and the vows were certainly interesting. The groom was a newly signed pro athlete and the bride was evidently his biggest fan. By “biggest fan,” we mean she was a really big fan of his signing bonus. When the line “for richer or for poorer” came up, things got cringe. 

The groom raised his eyebrows and gave her a knowing look, almost as if to say, “You love me, right?” It could have been a good-natured joke between the couple. We’ll never know since we don’t know them personally. It also could have been a warning because the guy was fully aware of why she was marrying him.
